Our capitalistic system is credited for the great leap forward in the 19th century and for unprecedented growth and prosperity in the 20th century. But, serious issues remain in its wake. Deep changes are demanded now in order to save the masses from complete domination by the wealthy elite.

Robots, automation, and artificial intelligence will replace many jobs as happened a century past with the invention of the horseless carriage. But it will be different now because machines have replaced forever the need for human hands to produce food and manufacture goods and even some services. It is vitally important that all citizens can earn a living wage, guaranteed, and with full benefits to live a life of security and dignity.

HOW CAN THIS BE ACCOMPLISHED?

What keeps America from moving forward to a better world? It is our systemic racism, especially those who can not easily hide; our Black citizens, marked for life to be cast aside.

All other major countries have largely rid themselves of this racist curse, and that is why they are now faring better in all human categories of wealth distribution and living standards. How could this be that America has dropped down to 28th place from the very top in most categories? Why? Because the centuries of Racism has held us down.

Too much national energy has been wasted in keeping the Blacks from a fair treatment, systemically. That thinking must die out, and soon.

Fortunately our great historians are now hard at work telling the truth about blacks in America. America was built upon the backs of slaves both before the Civil War and afterwards. Against all odds for many generations the blacks have been relentless in fighting back non violently to gain this moment in history that has the promise of more equal freedoms for all.

No one is free until we are all free.

Capitalism growth is hard to stop because those with money get richer by doing nothing productive, while the wage earner can never keep up with basic costs. How can we get closer to a proper balance?

The best way is some form of “Wealth Tax” or surcharge on the super rich. This new money can give a head start to the millions of families living at poverty’s edge. Day care for working Mothers and quality education are both essential and affordable in such a rich country. ..  And guess what? .. The Rich will never miss the money, and it will go for a useful cause.

They should be proud to help!

To aid the country that was so kind to them.

That is called PATRIOTISM!!!

Capitalism may be greatly modified and, or, replaced by UBI, Universal Basic Income. It is funded by the wealthy to aid the poor. UBI is already getting started all over our world.

So far, UBI has seen success in parts of India, Namibia and Canada, and is being tested in Kenya, Uganda, Brazil, Finland, the Netherlands and Italy. UBI has already been implemented in Alaska, and new pilot projects are currently being planned. Seattle WA and Stockton CA are already studying it. Participents in Stockton get $500 each month and those in Kenya get $17 per month. and with no restrictions on spending. These are pilot projects that are likely to expand greatly if found to be successful. They offer enormous promise for keeping people out of poverty, and with very small costs.

The white race has claimed to be the superior race, especially compared to the blacks of Africa. I have a problem with that claim because it has long been a political statement designed to justify enslavement of Africans. Also, superiority depends upon how one measures any perceived differences. It also depends upon the race or the culture. Each race is known to have widely different cultures, so it is the latter which is better compared, not the superior race.

Let us start be saying all races have their strengths and weaknesses. The Whites seem to be best at inventing powerful weapons for warfare and conquest, while the Blacks may display more peaceful human values that are more in harmony with the natural environment. Who’s to say which is best? That is a political question with no real answer, except in specific situations. Thus, the answer is that all humans have essentially identical abilities and attributes with no two individuals alike! ..  We are all just ONE BIG FAMILY.

Then why can’t we all get along?

Maybe, because our powerful brains have not yet learned how to overcome our primitive animal instincts of tribalism, or how to escape our faulty childhood teachings. Hate and distrust have too often been taught to our children. The West has long declared the superiority and privilege of the White culture, and that was not to be questioned. .. Their short-sighted policies are now being questioned.

SOME OTHER RACE COMPARISONS

Think of how forgiving the Vietnam people have been. We bombed and killed more than 3 million, mostly innocent non combat-ends. Compare that to what has been the long tradition of the Europeans. They are  trapped by their tradition of revenge for any past discretion’s. An Eye for an Eye and a Tooth for a Tooth, leads to constant struggle and strife. A more advanced culture would say “What’s past is past; Let us move forward into a better tomorrow”. This logic makes us now think again about the so-called Superiority of the White cultures, and with the White Race, currently on top.

One can make a strong case that on many moral levels, the other races are superior to the Whites. or to their aggressive cultures. This dominate culture has no future. It is self destructive. The future may be with those who live closer to the land, nature, and human values,  ..  And.  ..  live within the limits of Earth to become again,  clean and healthy.

Blacks and Women for Future Leaders of Superiority

Lets also examine Male Leadership today and in the past. The past centuries were dominated by Male Leaders, resulting in lots of Wars, Conquests, and Violence. Future wars will no longer be profitable. We tend to underestimate our enemies resistance, and are denied a quick victory as before.

Currently we are starting to see Women leaders in many major countries. This is a most important trend because Women are better equipped to foster Love, Respect, Peace, and Compromise which leads to a more humane living environment, and a healthy Earth climate. .. Our human family seems ready for major changes.

Maybe the question should be “CULTURE SUPERIORITY Examined.” ..  There is only one race, THE HUMAN RACE.

Mother Earth is our only home.

ADDENDUM

This author was born in 1928 in the USA. I am 100% Caucasian and a University graduate. ..  For the record, here are my opinions.

I gratefully enjoy the modern world and all the privileges I have benefited from being white. However, it is now time for the global structures of power to be turned over to a new and different group. That is especially needed in the USA, the most racist and wrong-headed country in the world. Wrong-headed because of their destruction to our Earth, and their stubborn unwillingness to acknowledge the facts, or to take serious corrective actions.

America, under strong Black Female leadership may be our only hope for a decent and moral future for all races and all living species on Earth.

The alternative of continued 20th Century leadership will be good only for the white, elite, ruling class. The others will either perish or become vassals of the elite.

Climate change will start to cause massive global crop failures in just a few short decades. Mass fear and hysteria will prevail, and only the rich, and those with guns will eat well. The white elite will do fine, but the masses of darker skinned will not.

Now you know the price we pay for white supremacy and leadership. Change cannot come too soon.

How can Mother Earth support ten billion people, all living better and more fulfilled than they do today? Our present systems must change. Our leaders are no longer serving us. Improvement is possible by making a few changes in how and what we teach each new child. In time the culture of the World can be changed for the better. Here are the basic needs and goals to be accepted and implemented.

1. Teach Frugality as a way of life. Less can be More, and totally fulfilling.
2. Security, freedom, and more choices for all. Eliminating wars and violence, and reduced use of fossil fuels will set us free.
3. Clean Air and Water and healthy Food. The latter is produced with minimum labor, and distributed efficiently to all people.
4. Each new child will enjoy health, love, and monetary security as a minimum.
5. Most will choose to live moral and productive lives which are self rewarding.
6. Machines and Robots will do most of the material and food production.
7. THE BIG QUESTION: How do people keep busy with MEANINGFUL activities? ..  I shall tell you.

At age 92 years, I have personally lived through and experienced the complete spectrum of the HUMAN CONDITION, its successes and failures. Mostly the latter. I present a Testimonial of One in my belief that everyone can be taught to learn, grow, and prosper in good health as I have. Usually we teach ourselves.

Bloom where planted with the hand you are dealt.

Whether you were born rich or poor, black or white, healthy or sickly, everyone must do what they are able.

That is what life is all about.

Each day is a gift.

Count your blessings and go forward.

My story starts in 1928 when Herbert Hoover was President and the Great Depression was about to beset us all. All families struggled with near poverty, but my family always had enough healthy food to avoid sickness and depression. I was a good kid who dutifully suffered through school, but managed a B average with hard work and doing the assignments. I had a paper route at age 14 and always saved my earnings due to my Frugality. I was the first family member to go to College. That opened the door to a 35 year career, and supporting a wife and 4 children. By age 35, I was not fulfilled even with many material and professional successes. Is that all there is to life?  Something must be missing, yet I knew not what. Things started to happen and In the next 30 years I went from naive and immature to a deeper thinker and practiced observer, eventually to arrive completely reformed. From age 37 to age 68 i experienced 32 epiphanies [lots of personal growth]. .. So, what did I learn of such great value to the human family?

I shall try to describe a Balanced and Stress Free life of Joy and Contentment available to each and everyone who seeks it. .. You can start at any age, but an early start is best .. Fortunate is the child raised with love, security, and good health. That is essentially the solution, because happy, healthy children grow up to be good citizens of integrity and responsibility. Those less fortunate can still break through to “The Good Life”.

My own life may serve as one example to inspire others. .. At age 92, I have been liberated from “Working” for 34 years now, yet I remain fully engaged and usually arise early each morning with gusto, and with exciting plans for the day. I have many interests and a balanced life with no real pressures nor issues. Each day seems filled with nice surprises and trivial adventures that bring as much joy as when doing big things in my prime years. How wonderful that is. It is effortless. It is filled with joy. It is just “Living”. It is the way people may have lived in the distant past, before the pressures of the industrial age. Would you also like to experience decades of real joy and stress free living? Then, start now on the pathway and it shall be yours.

Our beautiful Earth can sustain a quality life for ten Billion humans and all living plants and animals, but only if we act soon enough to stop our destructive ways. Any delay can be catastrophic.

How should our educators and teachers prepare K-12 students for the many challenges ahead of them? They need to understand that the digital world is changing the way people work, live, and raise families. These changes will continue to accelerate and require strong and intelligent management. Students today need a totally new kind of education to thrive in this new world.

Machines, robotics, and artificial intelligence will replace people in nearly all industries. Only a small number of people with special skills will be employed in these jobs. A shorter work week will equate to full employment, and the service, entertainment, and recreation/leisure time industries can also create many more jobs. The challenge is how to create meaningful lives and activities for all. We need a new kind of education system.

Stop the system of educating only the elite for their PhD’s and leadership roles. Start to educate the masses for the skills and values needed for successful and healthy lives. Move us away from our present conflict driven “us against them” divides. America will become stronger than ever only when all of us are healthy participants with a strong thread of unity held in common.

Students in this new digital world have special needs that are crowded out by academic subject requirements, especially specialized math such as algebra. trigonometry, and calculus, mainly practiced by only a handful of graduates. That means that 99% may be cheated out of a useful education in arts, science, humanities, and communication skills, the skills that bring real meaning to their lives. Worse yet, our Universities will not admit students without these outdated prerequisites. This system disqualifies many talented students from getting a useful education. It is extremely harmful discrimination, favoring a certain class.

Communication skills and value for others should be the first goal of education if our democracy is to thrive and survive. Presently, we are far from achieving our full potential as humans. Mature adults are all capable of learning the skills needed to exchange thoughts and ideas in a civil manner to separate facts from fiction. But, these skills must be taught. Youngsters can learn how to discuss any subject in a respectful manner without insults and name calling. Those ways of the past need to go. Respect and empathy for the other can and should be taught at an early age. Tribal animosities can no longer be the norm taught and reinforced in our educational system. We must set our sights higher for this century.

Today, in 2019, too many Americans feel hopeless, angry, and insecure about their future.

Let us strive to create a more perfect society where character reigns supreme, and truth, honesty, and moral integrity are expected and demanded. An early education is critical.

Clearly, our present course will lead to decline and destruction for the vast majority.

Just think how all this hopefulness can disappear with better school subject matter, where students love to go to school and learn interesting things that have a direct impact upon their lives.

Let us resolve “TO CHANGE COURSE”

Let us value each child and student. Let us stop discarding the vast majority of our youngsters, by our outdated education systems.
