It sounds very patriotic and good for us citizens. Right?

CITIZENS UNITED states that “Money is speech“ and thus can not be limited in election contributions. This is a very controversial Supreme Court decision which is the product of Chief Justice John Roberts and passed into law by a 5 to 4 court decision.
This law gives enormous power to sway the election of the next president, the one who appoints judges to the Supreme Court. Judges are political animals and do more than interpret the law and the Constitution. They too often make the law and are called “activist judges”. Just one vote by the court can make a profound difference in the law that shapes the Nations future.
That is why the race to occupy the White House is so very important. The President is elected for only 4 years, but each appointment made to the Supreme Court may easily last for 30 years. … Now, that is real power. …
To maintain power and prestige, the wealthy will go to any extreme to control the Supreme Court.
